First off, feel free to watch this community (DO NOT JOIN)! I don't mind, and undoubtedly it will help me get this project done faster.
What you need to know:
-The Shinrone gown was discovered in a bog near Shinrone, County Tipperary, Ireland. It was first thought to just be a piece of wool, but turned out to be a dress dating back to the late 16th or early 17th century.
-I am basing my gown on the Reconstructing History descriptions, and am drafting all patterns save the 17th century front and back laced stays from scratch.
-The stays use a rather historically inaccurate Butterick B254 pattern, but I don't have the time to draft them from scratch.
-This project is for Dr. Walton's History of Ireland class at Salisbury University, in lieu of writing a research paper.
